Web ap may have one or many content DB, web ap may also have one or many site collections, but I don&#039;t think a site collection can have its specific content DB.</description>

Also, I have another issue, we create our Site collections each with it&#039;s own DB.  If I add ANOTHER content DB, won&#039;t it be available to all other site collections in that Web Ap? If so, that&#039;s not good.

I guess I&#039;m looking for a procedure for re-attatching a conent DB that was assigned to a particular site collection.
